FUNDRAISING
Every penny counts
Gilesgate Primary PTFA is a relatively new PTA, but we have working hard to get to grips with fundraising and have raised over £10,000 in two years for Gilesgate Primary School. Through fairs, discos, makers markets and even a charity Christmas single, we have been able to deliver projects like:• Repainting in the school playground.
• Removal of old, damaged playground equipment.
• Upgrades to the school allotment.
• Gowns and photo backdrops for the Y6 leavers event.
• An annual community Iftar meal, bringing together families from different backgrounds.
• Craft clubs for pupils at school.
• Large community events that live long in the memory. Our work in our first year earned us an award for Best New PTFA Of The Year from ParentKind, and we have been redoubling our efforts to build on those early achievements. Every penny raised is thanks to the efforts of our volunteers, school staff, the sponsors and collaborators we work with, and the generosity of parents, carers and other members of the Gilesgate community.
